How the Syed's Library wallet works: closed-loop, for library use only, no transfers or cash-out, and refundable to your original payment source.
The wallet is a prepaid balance you add money to and spend on Syed's Library's own goods and services. It is a closed system instrument: it can be used only with us, for our books, weekly charges, plans and passes, late or damage fees and printing or similar library services.
Larger recharges may earn bonus credit. Bonus credit is promotional: it can be spent like the rest of the wallet but it cannot be refunded, and any unspent bonus expires when you close your account. When you spend from the wallet, bonus credit is used before the money you paid.
You can close your account at any time once you have returned your books and have no dues. The unspent money you paid is refunded to the original payment source, meaning the same card, UPI ID or bank account you used to add it, normally within 5 to 7 working days of closure (your bank may take longer to show it). If you added money through several payments, each is refunded to its own source.
Money the library credited to you at the counter was not paid through Razorpay, so our team pays that part out to you directly. Bonus credit is not refunded.
We may refuse or reverse a recharge that we reasonably believe is fraudulent or in error, and we may freeze the wallet while we investigate. We will tell you why and return any money that is rightfully yours.
